  16. i have been into flourishing for 3 years, is there a way we can do it better than Daren? or maybe 0.1% like Daren which stills a great performance :D

  18. Yeah, that's a good point. Reminds me of that adage, "the goal of flourishing is to make the difficult look easy, and the easy difficult."

  19. Had the same problem when I first learned this. Just keep practicing and you will get used to it and it will come natural. Also a tip that helped me was to try and minimize the movement of one hand. That helped me so maybe it will help you.

  20. Great tutorial. Thank you. Although you make it look a lot easier than it is for me right now. But the one lesson i have learned in my attempt to be a cardist is that every move is so hard until you practice it a bit, then it suddenly becomes easier and easier until you wonder why you had a hard time with it in the first place.

  21. The 4-6 packet is the first one you pull off and then you hold the rest of the cards split into fat apckets, one in each hand. Hope that makes a little sense. I had to watch this about 10 times before i could do it.

  22. i dont get it, how do i get the second packet over the 4-6 packet so i can spin it? and are you going to do a full totorial on it when you come back for the spring??

    ReplyDelete
  23. Try holding the 4-6 card packet with a lighter grip; that way, it makes it easier for the cards to spin once your ring finger initiates the movement.

  24. You probably want to position the corner of the packet so that it's directly in the most fleshy area of the pinky, but not with a grip that's so hard that the packet has no looseness to spin with. It's a bit of a knack, but once you get used to it it'll be just like riding a bicycle. Especially if you *are * using Bicycles.
